The Ghana Publishers Association celebrated the 2024 World Literacy Day on 12th September, 2024 at Kwashieman 1 Basic School in Accra, Ghana. The Guest Speaker, Mr. Lawrence Darmani (CEO, Step Publishers) educated and inspired the students on the theme: “Promoting Multilingual Education: Literacy for mutual understanding and peace”.
Ghana Publishers Association (GPA) donated books to the students at Kwashieman One Basic School, Accra.
The dignitaries present at the World Literacy Day included Nii Awuley Ahiaku VI (Kwashieman Mantse), Mr. Asare Konadu Yamoah (GPA President), Mr. Ebenezer Perry Ofori (Municipal Education Director) and teachers. They all advised the students to take their books seriously. Teachers and some publishers were in attendance.
